Jan,and family. Bob will be missed by so many . He was an outstanding individual, always putting himself on the back burner to fulfill the needs of others. He had an infectious smile, and if the topic of his granddaughter Olivia came up, the smile grew and Bob would glow. He spoke very highly of the love of his life, his wife Jan,as well as both Kip and Jenny. He has left each one of us a precious gift, wonderful memories of a kindhearted, caring man, whom his energy filled a room. May those great memories help ease the void and know that he will always be within the hearts of those fortunate to have known him.

Bob will always be in my memory, he was one of a few who honestly welcomed me when I transferred from Shell Montreal, he encouraged me to join the Street Machines. He supported my idea for Hot August Nights to help bring more funding for Pathways. He was a true friend although we were not close. He was a great guy and will be missed.

Sarnia has lost a wonderful man. A kind and gentle man who dedicated his time to fundraising for the children of this community. Bob had the energy of three people and this showed in everything he did. His infectious smile and passion for life has touched us all. He tought us all many things...especially all of us involved with the Sarnia Street Machines. As president for the last decade or so he was the face of the club. He took the time to spend with donors....did not matter how big or small...he made everyone feel the same. His love for his family shone through in everything he did. Jan was his soulmate and his children equally loved. His granddaughter Olivia always brought a smile and a story when you were with him. "SOC" thank you for all you did for the children of the Sunshine Foundation and Pathways Health Centre for Children. You will be dearly missed by all of us...already are. Cruise on Bob....forever in our hearts.

So sorry to hear of Bobs passing. He was the greatest guy to work with at Fiberglas and a true Hot Rodder. He will be missed by the Street Machine group and his many close friends where ever they may be.

Although I haven't see Soc since high school I have heard of his work with cars. Even then he and Tom would come out to the farm to work on them, ie weld on straight pipes, as I had a welding torch. It all brings back fond memories of "the good old times". I had hope to be in Sarnia last summer to see the car show, however it didn't work out.

Jan and family, my heartfelt condolences to you all. Bob and I worked together at Fiberglas many years ago when he joined the electricians. We had great times together at work and socially, he was a great guy to be around, with his smile and sense of humour, He will be missed by many people for his wit and upbeat attitude in everything he was involved with. I still remember his first "Trike" that he built down in the basement and how excited he was about getting it out on the road with its Ban deodorant chrome caps as part of the trim.... Eric Flesher.

One of the privileges and joys of being a volunteer coordinator and volunteer is getting to know so many selfless, giving people. As the retired Supervisor of Volunteer Services and current volunteer with Pathways and the local Multiple Sclerosis chapter, I have known Bob for many years as he was actively involved with our fundraisers. I will particularly think of him during future Hot August Nights (where I last talked to him) and MS Carnation campaigns, where he helped with delivering flowers. I know he will be looking down, wishing us much success. My condolences to Jan and the family. Know that he will be missed by many. Rest in peace, Bob, you've set such a good example for others with your hard work for those with disabilities.

My deepest condolences for Bob's family. I had the pleasure of working with Bob for the past several years helping to set up for the car shows held at Canatara. Always great for a laugh and quick to find a solid solution on the spot to any problem that would arise. He had an amazing passion for all the vehicles and drivers that attended, greeting everyone and making them feel welcome and truly a part of the show. He will be missed.
