Obituary
Russell, David George
With very heavy hearts we announce the passing of the love of my life of 56 years (Jan 15, 1966). Loving Dad, Poppa and Great Poppa. Dave passed away unexpectedly on January 16, 2022, at Bluewater Health in Sarnia. Dave would have been 77 years old on February 18, 2022. Dave was the devoted husband of Dorinda (n. Genner). He was the cherished dad of Steve Russell (Annette), and family of Sarnia. Devoted daughters Patricia Russell and Suzanne Russell (Trell Stephens) of South Carolina. Brother-in-law of Janet & Gary Wilkins of Sarnia. He was a very loved Pappa to great granddaughters Adrianna, Dinae, and Jocelyn Walker (James Michael). And great grandfather to Zaya & Kadon Walker. My beloved sister from another Mother Luana Cameron (Ron). He will be greatly missed by so many friends who are too numerous to mention and by his devoted Chihuahua Aby. Dave and I moved to the USA in 1990 and resided in South Carolina for 25 years returning to live in Sarnia in 2016. Dave was loved and respected by all who met him. He had a fabulous sense of humour. He was re-establishing his interest in photography, especially nature. He was an avid Toronto Maple Leaf fan. Dave accepted the Lord into his life in 1975 and never looked back. Our passion together in South Carolina was riding our Gold Wing Trike through the Mountains of Tennessee. Dave was a humble man with a very generous servant’s heart. He loved me with all his heart, and I was blessed to be his wife. We shared an incredible adventure for 56 years. Dave was cremated and no further arrangements have been made at this time. Remembrances and condolences may be expressed to the family online in “Dave’s Guestbook” at mccormackfuneralhomesarnia.com. Donations in memory of Dave may be made to Brigden Community Church and Dean Bye Return Ministries, Bright Ontario.
But they that wait on the Lord shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31 (ESV).
