Obituary
Paradis, Barbara
Sadly missed, and will never be forgotten, Barbara passed away peacefully with her loved ones by her side at Trillium Villa Nursing Home in Sarnia, Ontario, on Monday June 3, 2024. Barbara was the loving mother of Shirley Denison (Terry), and Wayne Paradis (Pam), cherished grandmother of Sabrina, Crystal (Todd), Wayne Jr. (Shawna), Michael (Steve), Denese (Tara) and nine great-grandchildren. She will be remembered by her dear brother Dexter Chesney (Sue), many nieces and nephews, and her best friend Bill Shand. Barbara was predeceased by her parents Alvina and Frances Chesney, and her siblings George (Junior), Ken, Hester, Lyle (Butch), and Jim. Barbara loved Bingo and spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed walking and going to Bayside mall for coffee with her friends. She loved horses and horse racing, and even had horses when she was young. Her favorite horse she had was Sundancer. She enjoyed helping others and donating to Diabetes and other places when possible. She also enjoyed jigsaw puzzles and crosswords. She also loved her wrestling and especially the WWE. She always had an open door for anyone in need. A big thank you to the amazing care team from Trillium Villa Nursing Home for their compassionate care of mom. Cremation has taken place. Family and friends will be received for a Celebration of Barbara's Life to take place at Royal Oak Towers, 501 Errol Road West, Sarnia, on Saturday June 15 from 1 - 5 pm.
