Dear Fred and family, I am so very sorry for your loss. I have lots of fond memories of Ellen. Just to name a few, it was at her and Jim's place that we shared a suprise cake for my sweet 16, which was also the very first moment I got to spend in Canada with the Hodgins, and the beginning of an everlasting connection with this country and this family. She also hosted the one and only Thanksgiving dinner I ever had (since we don't celebrate it here). And I had a little pride in knowing that I contributed to her spoon collection with my swiss touch! And of course, she and Jim were an outstanding example of a happy and strong marriage for my husband and I. I will never forget their matching t-shirts "if lost, return to Ellen" / "I'm Ellen, no return". All of this to say that even though we are thousands of km apart, I share your sorrow and we are praying for you!

Grandpa Slowpoke!! I am so blessed to have met both you and Grandma Slowpoke! I loved quick and long days spent at the farm, driving around in the model T and enjoying Ellen’s delicious meals!! My favourite memory of her was watching her climb up the door frame and then watching all the girls follow her! So many good memories to cherish!! She truly was amazing and leave a legacy behind her! Much love and hugs!! Paul, Heather, and Kolby Gilmore!❤️

To Ellen's family. We are so sorry for your loss. We always enjoyed our times with Ellen, and you Jim, at church at Mandaumin. Especially helping with meals under Ellen's wing. It was fun in large part because of Ellen's and your good humour. Also, we enjoyed the lunches out we were fortunate to share with you. You will have many good memories from her life well lived.
