Clayton Albert Boyd
1938-2024
At Bluewater Health in Sarnia, Clayton passed away on Saturday November 9, 2024, surrounded by his beloved family. He was 86 years old at the time of his passing and resided in Point Edward his whole life. Beloved wife of Marlene Boyd (Rand) of 60 years. Survived by daughters Christine Mastroianni (Marcello), Heather Rivait, and Jennifer Dietz (Todd), and his grandchildren, Kristal and Tyler, Clayton and Nathan, and Kennedy and Carsen. Brother of Robert Boyd of Alvinston. Brother-in-law to Carol Boyd and Hank Vanderzwart. Predeceased by his parents Bill and Evla Boyd, siblings, brother William (Grace), George (Annie), Beverley, Grant and sisters Geraldine (Tom) Haggarty, Joyce Vanderzwart, and Peggy. Sister-in-law Joyce Boyd, son-in-law of James and Jean Rand, and brother-in-law Donald Rand. Clayton was a member of Local 787 Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Victoria Masonic Lodge, Point Edward Ex-Servicemen's Club, and Royal Canadian Legion of Sarnia. He was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Army Service Core. Clayton spent many years as a member at Bridgeview Marina and Sarnia Yacht Club, sailing on his boat the Streaker. Thank you to the paramedics, ICU, and palliative teams at Bluewater Health. Cremation has taken place and at Clayton's request, there will be no visitation or funeral service.
