Died – May 8th 2024 in Sarnia, Ontario

In the presence of her loved ones, Maria passed away on Wednesday, May 8th, 2024, at Bluewater Health in Sarnia, Ontario. She was 60 years old. Maria was born in Bangor, Wales on April 22nd, 1964, to her beloved parents Christine (nee Metcalfe) and Colin Crackle. In November 1967, she emigrated from the UK to Canada where she spent most of her life. She is survived by her two children, Kyle and Keelan Bennett and their significant others, Christina Bennett (nee Schroeter) and Roy Tessier. She adored her grandchildren Alexander, Lucas, Finnegan and Avery and loved nothing more than being their Nana. Maria is also survived by her best friend and younger sister Samantha Crackle, and was a loving aunt to her nephew and niece Aaron and Roree (Crackle). A dear niece to her Auntie Joyce (nee Metcalfe) and cherished by her many cousins and family in England. Her years spent in the UK held a special place in her heart, she made great friends and spent time with family. Among her many accomplishments, she was very loved as a daughter, mother, nana, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend. Maria will be remembered for her kind, compassionate and fun-loving spirit. She loved her family wholeheartedly, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Family and friends will be received at the McCormack Funeral Home, 254 George Street (at College Avenue), for visitation on Wednesday May 15 from 2 – 4 pm. Cremation will follow. Keelan and Kyle... thinking of all the hockey trips in the van, cracking garlic in the garage, and the way your mom's laugh would burst out when one of us made her smile. I'm thinking of you both. Big hugs.
