Obituary

Hendrikus “Henk” Voskamp
1948-2024

Passed away at London’s Victoria Hospital on September 14th, 2024, after a short illness in his 75th year. Born in the village of Eefde, Netherlands he found his way to southern Spain where he met his former wife, originally from Sarnia, and immigrated to start a family. A butcher by trade he quickly found work becoming meat manager at Sunripe before eventually owning Welldale Meats. An avid soccer fan and aviation enthusiast he was happy to discuss the latest game in the Premier League and the Dutch National Team or take a drive up Airport Road to watch airplanes. Fiercely private and sometimes enigmatic he was fond of surprise visits and spontaneous road trips. Of his many pursuits he always enjoyed a good plate of food and instilled a foodie culture in his family. He leaves behind his son Sean (Rhonda) of Kitchener and grandchildren Will and Anneka, his brother Rien (Mieke) of Zutphen, Netherlands and their family. Predeceased by his parents Pietje and Gerrit. Cremation has taken place. Remembrances and condolences may be expressed to the family online in “Henk’s Guestbook” at mccormackfuneralhomesarnia.com.
