Obituary

Taylor, Roger Clayton

December 27th, 1954 – October 2nd, 2022

In love and devout respect, we say goodbye to a good man, Roger Taylor.

Roger passed away peacefully in his home with his wife by his side, at the age of 67. Beloved husband, soul mate and best friend of Karen. Loving father of Charlene (Carl) and adoptive father of Connie. Cherished Papa of Aurora, Harper and Oakley. He was born to parents Roger and Susan Taylor, on December 27th, 1954, in Hitchin, England. Roger moved to Canada with his family as a child, growing up in Elliot Lake. It was in Elliot Lake, that Roger met the love of his life, Karen and they married in 1979. He will be fondly remembered for who he was. Roger was the type of Papa that would sit with his granddaughters and play with barbies. They adored him for all he did. He also delighted in getting his new baby grandson Oakley to smile. Roger loved meeting people, had a good sense of humor, and was a kind hearted man with a twinkle in his eye. Roger was a social worker both in his career and his heart and enjoyed spending time talking with people. Roger believed in Jesus and his family finds solace in knowing they will see him again. Cremation has taken place. Family and friends will be received for services at the New Horizon’s Community Church, 383 Russel Street N. (corner of Maxwell Avenue) on Friday October 7, beginning with visitation at 1 pm, followed by a Funeral Service at 2 pm. Remembrances and condolences may be expressed to the family online in “Roger’s Guestbook” at mccormackfunerlhomesarnia.com.
