Obituary
Lovelock, E. Cathy
Peacefully on Friday May 26, 2023, at Bluewater Health in Sarnia, at the age of 79. Cathy was the beloved wife of Bill for 60 years. Loving and feisty mother of Gene, and Cindy Plain (Bert). Cherished Neena of Harrison (Emma) and Joshua (Steva), and Great Neena to Raelynn, Zeppelin, and Nolan. She is survived by her sister June Cooper, her brothers-in-law Ron Lovelock (Alan Laing), and her nieces and nephews. Cathy is predeceased by her parents Eugene and Florence Anger, her first born Lynda May, her sister Lura Varney, and her brother James Anger. Cathy had a variety of occupations throughout her life, which included being a machine operator, home improvements (siding), store security. and retired from being a financial planner. She could play any musical instrument by ear, a trait she passed on to her grandson Harrison. If music was on, she was usually singing or dancing to it. Her quick wit she passed onto her kids and to her grandkids, especially Joshua. Cremation has taken place, and a celebration of Cathy’s Life will take place at a later date. The family would like to thank Dr MacSweeny and the nursing staff in Palliative Care at Bluewater Health, Elizabeth in ICU, Riley and Mary at Vision Nursing Home, and Maggie at the Alzheimer’s Society of Sarnia Lambton for their compassionate care of Cathy and assistance to Bill. Remembrances and condolences may be expressed to the family online in “Cathy’s Guestbook” at mccormackfuneralhomesarnia.com. If desired, donations to either Bluewater Health – Palliative Care or the Alzheimer’s Society of Sarnia Lambton would be appreciated.

Condolences
Bill, Cindy, Gene, Harrison and Joshua I'll remember her as my friend and business adviser for many years. We had so much fun just sitting on the patio talking about flowers or going out to lunch. Although no words can take away your sadness, I hope knowing others care will bring you some comfort. Val Conway

I am so sorry to hear of Cathy’s passing. My father is a resident at the home (LeRoy), and he really loved her. My sister and myself also loved her, we spent many days enjoying each other’s company’. We will all miss her dearly . May she now rest in peace.❤️🙏
