Obituary

Clendenning, Paul
It is with deeply saddened hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Paul Clendenning at Bluewater Health, with his family by his side on Monday December 20, 2021, at the age of 73, just a few days short of his birthday. Beloved husband and best friend of Donna (nee Caldwell) for 53 years. Loving father of John, Randy (Jackie) and Sarah Horton (Warren). Cherished Pops and Gramps of 7 grandchildren and 3 greatgrandchildren. Lovingly remembered by his sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, and nephews. Paul was a proud member of the Sarnia Elk Lodge 503 for 47 years. He was Exalted Ruler in 1981, Districted Deputy in 1983, Ontario Provincial President in 1991, and Grand Exalted Ruler of the Elks of Canada 1999-2000. He was an avid golfer at St. Clair Parkway and a long-time Toronto Maple Leaf fan. A special thank you to Dr Kim and the staff on Palliative Care for their kindness and compassion. Cremation has taken place. Friends and family will be received at the McCormack Funeral Home, 254 George Street, (at College Avenue) for Memorial Visitation on Thursday December 30 from 12 Noon to 2 pm. (Please call to book your time – 519-383-7121). A service by the Sarnia Elks Lodge 503 at 2 pm will follow. Entombment of cremated remains to take place at Resurrection Cemetery. Remembrances and condolences may be expressed to the family online in “Paul’s Guestbook” at mccormackfuneralhomesarnia.com. At this time, at the request of the family, flowers are gratefully declined.
