Very few people impacted my life as much as the unforgettable Ina Bannister. Very unique individual. Straight shooter. Nobody could match her common sense . Good judge of other people. Intuitive and practical. I wish I listened to her advice more than I have. It was always good. I have known her for over a quarter of a century. I got to know her after she moved to Sarnia from Strathroy. I remember the very first day someone introduced me to her on George Street . Strangely , I do not recall with certainty who was the person that brought the blessing of Ina to my life. It must have been one of Sarnia two notorious walkers, either Betty Dee Black or Ralph Leeder. Both were long term friends of Ina and mine. She is in my short book of the " The world best 10 cooks" . I don't know how she did it but she could turn a simple can of beans into extraordinary culinary experience. Ina Bannister will live in our hearts for the rest of our existence.
