Marriott, Donald Harold Foster
Peacefully on Tuesday October 24, 2017, at Bluewater Health in Sarnia, at the age of 91. Don was the beloved husband of Shirley for 70 years, still living in the home they built 70 years ago. Loving father of Jim and his wife Jo-Anne, Sandra Wardell and her husband Brad, Susan Marriott, and Ron and his wife Kim. Cherished Grandpa of Bill Piggott, Robin Koncovy, Chris Marriott, Alesia Moore, Nolan Marriott, Kayla Conlan, Brandi Weaver and Danielle Mitchell, and also by several great grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents Harold and Bertha Marriott and his sister Dorothy Parker and her husband Bob. Don retired from Polysar after 43 years of service. He was also an avid golfer, wood carver and artist. He will be remembered for his many years devoted to Central United Church. A special thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff in Palliative Care at Bluewater Health for their compassionate care of dad. Friends will be received at McCormack Funeral Home – Stewart Chapel, 254 George Street (at College Avenue) for visitation on Sunday October 29 from 2-4 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at McCormack Funeral Home on Monday October 30 at 11 am. Burial to follow at Lakeview Cemetery. If desired, donations to the Victoria Order of Nurses (VON) and St Joseph’s Hospice would be gratefully appreciated.
